My Role
Lead Producer | Project Manager
In my role as the Lead Producer and Project Manager for Shady Creek Lodge, I had the privilege of overseeing a highly skilled team of 14 members. Together, we embarked on an exciting journey to develop a visually stunning first-person horror game. By effectively managing schedules and fostering a positive work environment, we achieved remarkable efficiency and collaboration.
One of my key responsibilities was to ensure that our project stayed on track by creating and maintaining meticulous schedules. Through careful coordination and organization, we consistently met all deadlines and milestones, pushing the boundaries of our creativity and innovation. Additionally, I placed great emphasis on addressing individual team members' progress and concerns through regular one-on-one meetings, which fostered a strong sense of unity and ensured that everyone felt supported.
Collaboration was at the core of our success. Working closely with the Art Director, we brought the game's world to life with stunning 3D models, textures, and animations. Our collective efforts resulted in a visually captivating game environment that immersed players in a truly unforgettable experience. Furthermore, in close partnership with the Lead Game Designer, we conducted extensive playtesting sessions to gather valuable feedback on mechanics, level design, and overall player experience. This collaborative approach led to significant improvements, enhancing the game's playability and overall enjoyment.

What Is Shady Creak Lodge?
Shady Creak Lodge is a first-person horror game made in Unreal Engine 5. You are Quinlan Keep, a contractor who has found himself in over his head, trapped in the remote Shady Creak Lodge, in which a dark, enigmatic creature stalks. This creature seems to be blind to all darkness, including the shadows cast by the very furniture in the lodge. In order to survive, you must move furniture to manipulate the shadows cast in your environment, allowing yourself to hide in the most advantageous positions possible while shadow-hopping your way through the lodge. As you explore the lodge and attempt to escape, you will find that not all is as it seems, as nothing can escape the lodge unchanged.

Features
Furniture Movement: The player can move furniture to change the location of shadows in their environment. Large objects and small objects behave differently in both how they move and how useful they are. Large objects are slower to move, cast large shadows, and make more noise. Small objects are quicker to move, cast smaller shadows, and make less noise.
Lighting Detection: When the player is fully obscured by shadow from the monster view’s, a vignette appears at the edges of the screen slightly limiting the player's own sight.
Inventory: Over the course of the game, the player will pick up multiple lore and key items. The lore items will be able to be accessed through the inventory menu and selected to be read or listened to to inform the player.
